TETRA Technologies, Inc. announced that the Arkansas Oil & Gas Commission (AOGC) approved its application to expand the Evergreen Unit from 6,138 gross acres to 6,953 gross acres on April 22, 2025. This expansion is expected to enhance and prolong the production of bromine and other minerals from the Smackover Formation.
An additional test well in the Evergreen Unit yielded encouraging results, showing lithium concentrations above the estimated average within the original unit. Furthermore, recent test well results identified encouraging levels of magnesium and manganese, both classified as U.S. critical minerals, within the same brine resources.
The AOGC also approved SWA Lithium's application to establish a unit for acreage under an option agreement involving Standard Lithium and TETRA. Under this agreement, TETRA is entitled to a 2.5% royalty on gross revenues from lithium produced by Standard Lithium from TETRA's option acreage, while retaining rights to bromine and other non-lithium minerals.
