PNM, a wholly-owned subsidiary of TXNM Energy, has filed an application with the New Mexico Public Regulation Commission (NMPRC) for new energy resources. These resources are slated to be added by the summer of 2028 to meet forecasted peak load requirements and advance New Mexico's zero-carbon energy goals. The proposed resource portfolio includes the addition of 430 megawatts (MWs) of new solar and battery storage capacity. This investment is crucial for serving PNM's customers and ensuring continued progress towards the requirements of New Mexico's Energy Transition Act. The filing reflects a capital investment from PNM of $220 million, with a potential increase to $252 million if an option for an additional 20 MW of storage is selected. PNM has requested NMPRC approval of these resources within nine months. The content on BeyondSPX is for informational purposes only and should not be construed as financial or investment advice.
