Textron Aviation announced on May 20, 2025, the five-year anniversary of the first flight of its versatile Cessna SkyCourier, a clean-sheet twin-engine, high-wing utility turboprop. This aircraft has become a trusted asset for operators worldwide since its prototype first took flight on May 17, 2020.
To support the growing flight activities of the SkyCourier, Textron Aviation is investing in a 52,000-square-foot expansion of a production flight test hangar in Wichita, Kansas. This expansion will add an additional six hangar bays to a facility on Textron Aviation’s East Wichita Campus.
Lannie O’Bannion, senior vice president, Sales & Marketing, highlighted the SkyCourier's versatility, enabling operators to tackle diverse mission profiles and operate in challenging environments. The aircraft, available in freighter and passenger variants with optional gravel and combi conversion kits, has brought innovative solutions to customers globally.
