United States Antimony Corporation announced on December 9, 2024, that it has entered into a formal Metallurgical Testing Agreement (MTA) with Perpetua Resources Corp. The agreement focuses on evaluating stibnite-rich (antimony) material from Perpetua's Stibnite Gold Project located in Idaho.
Under the terms of the MTA, Perpetua Resources will supply samples of antimony ore and assay work to UAMY's Montana facility for evaluation. This collaboration aims to explore the potential for processing Perpetua's antimony concentrate domestically.
Perpetua's Stibnite Gold Project holds an antimony reserve of 148 million pounds, representing one of the largest antimony reserves not under Chinese influence and the only U.S. domestic reserve. This agreement is a step towards building a fully American antimony supply chain, aligning with national interests in critical minerals.
