Furthermore, Uber has launched a partnership in the UK with British energy supplier Octopus Energy and Chinese EV firm BYD. This collaboration will co-fund 1,000 free home chargers, valued at nearly £1,000 each, for UK Uber drivers. Drivers will also gain access to Octopus' 'Intelligent Go' tariff for cheaper charging and an 8% discount on public charging through the Electroverse network, significantly reducing EV running costs.
