UL Solutions Inc. has filed a lawsuit against Fly-E Group, Inc. (NYSE: FLYE), its subsidiaries, and several executives for allegedly counterfeiting the UL Mark. The lawsuit claims Fly-E Group falsely advertised its e-bikes, e-scooters, and e-motorcycles as UL Certified without undergoing product testing. The complaint alleges that Fly-E Group's unauthorized use of the iconic UL Mark was intended to deceive consumers into believing its e-mobility devices were tested and certified by UL Solutions. The UL Mark has been used since at least 1937 and signifies that a product meets thorough scientific safety standards. UL Solutions is seeking a permanent injunction against the defendants to prevent further unauthorized use of its trademarks, along with statutory and punitive damages for intentional infringement and reckless disregard for consumer and public safety. The company is seeking a trial by jury for the issues raised in the complaint.
