This UL Standard is crucial for demonstrating that robots can operate safely alongside people in public and commercial environments, addressing key safety concerns such as mobility, fire, shock hazards, and interaction with vulnerable persons.
The opening comes as the global service robotics market experiences significant growth, with sales increasing by 30% worldwide, and nearly 80% of these robots originating from the Asia-Pacific region. This strategic investment positions UL Solutions to support the responsible adoption of innovative robotic technologies and address new safety challenges in this expanding industry.
