Universal Technical Institute (UTI) announced the launch of three new campuses for fiscal 2027, a key component of its North Star expansion strategy. The announcement, made on November 18 2025, comes as the company seeks to broaden its footprint in high‑demand markets while addressing the national shortage of skilled workers. All three campuses are subject to pending regulatory approvals before opening.

The Salt Lake City campus will occupy nearly 113,000 square feet at River Point Plaza in West Jordan, Utah, and is projected to serve more than 3,000 students. It will offer aviation maintenance, automotive/diesel, electrical & industrial maintenance, robotics & automation, HVACR, and welding programs. The Concorde‑Houston campus will span 45,000 square feet at Westchase Commons, and the Concorde‑Atlanta campus will cover just over 47,000 square feet at Lee + White. Each location will provide a broad range of nursing, dental, diagnostic, patient‑care, and allied‑health programs, with a student capacity of up to 700 per campus.

UTI’s expansion strategy is designed to diversify its training portfolio and capture a larger share of the skilled‑trade and healthcare workforce markets. By adding campuses in Utah, Texas, and Georgia, the company is accelerating its growth trajectory and positioning itself to meet employer demand in these regions. The move aligns with the company’s multi‑year plan to open multiple campuses annually between 2026 and 2029, reinforcing its commitment to scaling operations and expanding program offerings.

CEO Jerome Grant emphasized the strategic importance of the new campuses, stating, “These new campuses represent another milestone as we strengthen our position as an American leader in training programs for skilled collar and healthcare workers. By establishing a presence in Utah and increasing our footprint in Texas and Georgia, we will extend our impact and meet the unique demands of the employers in these markets.” He added that meeting federal criteria for Concorde’s growth a year ahead of schedule has enabled UTI to accelerate strategic investments in healthcare training, delivering further shareholder value.

UTI’s recent campus openings—San Antonio (Spring 2026), Atlanta (2026), and Fort Myers (November 2025)—illustrate the company’s rapid expansion pace. The new 2027 campuses build on this momentum, adding significant enrollment capacity and reinforcing UTI’s position as a leading provider of vocational and healthcare training across the United States.

The announcement marks a major operational milestone for UTI. Pending regulatory approvals, the new campuses are expected to increase enrollment capacity by thousands of students and support the company’s broader growth strategy, positioning UTI to capitalize on the growing demand for skilled workers in both trade and healthcare sectors.
