Venu Holding Corporation announced on January 15, 2025, that it has closed on the 46-acre property for its 20,000-seat outdoor music venue in McKinney, TX. The venue, named The Sunset Amphitheater at McKinney powered by EIGHT Elite Light Beer, is a $300 million development.
The project is being built as part of a public-private partnership involving VENU, the City of McKinney, the McKinney Economic Development Corporation, and the McKinney Community Development Corporation. An official Groundbreaking Ceremony is anticipated for Spring 2025.
The ultra-lux venue is poised to become a landmark in the Dallas-Fort Worth region, featuring innovative Fire Pit Suites and The Aikman Club in collaboration with NFL Hall of Famer Troy Aikman. This acquisition is part of VENU's $1.3 billion in active site development and construction, with projected Fire Pit Suite sales of $200 million for 2025.
