VIAVI and Hanyang University Sign MoU to Advance 6G Research

VIAVI Solutions Inc. and Hanyang University, a leading South Korean academic institution, announced on June 10, 2025, a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to collaborate on AI-RAN, 5G, and 6G research. This partnership will take place at the university's Beyond-G Global Innovation Center, with VIAVI contributing wireless lab test solutions and expertise. Hanyang University will become a VIAVI 6G Forward academic partner. The Beyond-G Global Innovation Center was selected in 2024 by the Ministry of Science and ICT and the National Research Foundation of Korea for the next-generation communication category of the Global Innovation Research Center (IRC) Support Project. This large-scale research project grants over KRW 5 billion annually for 10 years, aiming to build an international research network and lead the development of next-generation communication technology. To meet the Beyond-G Center's objectives, VIAVI will contribute its NITRO Wireless test and optimization suite, including a 6G testbed, used by leading network equipment manufacturers, service providers, and research institutions.
