Wingstop UK, the brand's master franchisee in the United Kingdom, announced aggressive expansion plans for 2025, targeting the opening of at least 20 new sites across the UK. This development follows the recent acquisition of a majority stake in Wingstop UK by a US private equity firm for over £400 million. At least 10 of these new locations are slated to open in the first half of the year.
The company currently operates 57 sites across the UK and employs more than 2,500 people, having undergone a rapid expansion program in the previous year, including the opening of its largest site at Westfield Stratford in East London. Chris Sherriff, Chief Executive at Wingstop UK, stated that 2024 was a landmark year and that 2025 is poised for even greater growth.
This planned expansion is a clear indicator of the strong demand and confidence in the Wingstop brand within the international market.
