On October 17, 2024, WeightWatchers for Business published new research titled 'Shifting Perspectives: Weight Health and the Workplace,' which highlights evolving employee expectations for healthcare coverage. The survey found that 69% of respondents desire weight health benefits from their employer, signaling a significant market opportunity for comprehensive workplace solutions.

The research also reinforced the efficacy of WeightWatchers' integrated approach, revealing that members who combined clinical and behavioral interventions lost 11% more weight than those using medication alone. Furthermore, behavioral intervention members reported a 40.5% increase in self-esteem, a 9.9% increase in physical function, and a 3.6% improvement at work.

These findings support WeightWatchers' strategy to provide employers and payers with proven, innovative solutions that can enhance health outcomes across various acuity levels and cardiometabolic conditions. A tailored program for individuals with type 1 or type 2 diabetes also showed a statistically significant 0.75 decrease in HbA1c at six months, further demonstrating the program's clinical effectiveness.
