XCHG Limited, through its subsidiaries XCharge Europe and XCharge North America, has entered into a strategic partnership with Electromin, the largest electric‑vehicle charging network operator in Saudi Arabia, to deploy its GridLink battery‑integrated chargers across the Kingdom.
The GridLink system features a 215 kWh battery that can be scaled to 430 kWh, delivers nearly 200 kW of DC fast‑charging power, and draws only 44 kW from the grid. The liquid‑cooled thermal management and ability to operate during grid outages make the system ideal for high‑traffic sites such as gas stations, supermarkets, and other commercial locations where grid capacity is limited.
The partnership aligns with Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030, which targets 30 % electric‑vehicle adoption in Riyadh by 2030 and a net‑zero emissions goal by 2060. By installing GridLink chargers, Electromin can accelerate the rollout of fast‑charging infrastructure while keeping grid demand low, supporting the Kingdom’s broader sustainability agenda.
Electromin will provide turnkey solutions, including installation, commissioning, and maintenance, leveraging its status as a subsidiary of Petromin Group and part of the Al‑Dabbagh Group. The collaboration gives XCHG a foothold in a market that is rapidly expanding its EV ecosystem and offers significant opportunities for battery‑integrated charging solutions.
XCHG’s global presence spans nearly 25 countries, and the company’s leadership has highlighted the Middle East as a key growth region. Albina Iljasov, Head of Europe at XCharge, said, “We are proud to partner with Electromin to bring our GridLink technology to Saudi Arabia at a pivotal moment in the Kingdom’s energy transformation. We see the Middle East as a region where e‑mobility will grow massively in the coming years, and we are committed to fostering this growth with technology that is truly one step ahead.” Electromin’s Director of e‑Mobility Sales and Marketing, Mowafak AlSaadi, added, “XCharge’s GridLink technology, with its innovative battery integration and ability to deliver ultra‑fast charging with minimal grid input, allows us to accelerate our rollout timeline significantly.”
The partnership represents a strategic expansion for XCHG into a high‑growth market and positions the company to capture demand for battery‑integrated chargers that can operate in areas with limited grid capacity. The deployment also supports Saudi Arabia’s renewable energy goals, as the GridLink system can integrate solar power, further enhancing the sustainability profile of the charging network. Overall, the deal strengthens XCHG’s competitive position in the global EV infrastructure market and signals a continued focus on innovative, grid‑efficient charging solutions.
