Expro Group Holdings N.V. has secured a key contract to deliver integrated well testing services for a high-profile Carbon Capture and Storage (CCS) project offshore UK. This award follows the UK Regulator's December 2024 permit for carbon storage to the Northern Endurance Partnership (NEP).
Expro has been commissioned by NEP to appraise two wells in the Endurance reservoir, which is critical for future CCS suitability and has the capacity to store up to 450 million tonnes of CO2. The testing will provide vital information for characterizing the reservoir as part of the East Coast Cluster field development plan.
Expro will utilize capabilities from its well testing, fluid sampling and analysis, and subsea business segments, partnering with Baker Hughes and Metrol Technology for a fully integrated appraisal solution. This contract reinforces Expro's role in helping to decarbonize the UK and its commitment to the growing CCS industry.
