Expro Group Holdings N.V. has launched its most advanced BRUTE® High-Pressure, High Tensile Packer System, the BRUTE® Armor Packer, designed for extreme deepwater conditions. This new technology offers the highest differential pressures in the market, providing operators with flexibility to set higher in the wellbore, saving rig time and reducing operational risk.
The BRUTE® Armor Packer positions Expro as the only provider capable of supporting 20k deepwater projects at this level, especially when deployed with the BRUTE® 2 Storm Valve, forming the industry’s highest-rated Storm/Service Packer and Valve combination. The 12.25” system saw its first successful deployment in April 2025 for a super-major in the Gulf of America.
Building on this success, Expro also introduced a new 20”/22” Packer System, addressing historical challenges with larger retrievable mechanical packers. Its first deployment in June 2025 for a super-major in the Gulf of America validated its enhanced expansion capability and pressure integrity, enabling efficient casing isolation and reducing rig time.
