Clear Secure, Inc. (NYSE: YOU) announced a partnership with Sharecare to embed its CLEAR1 secure identity platform into Sharecare’s AskMD AI‑enabled health navigation solution. The integration will give AskMD users a frictionless, secure way to verify identity and access insurance, benefit routing, and personalized clinical data, enabling real‑time eligibility checks and fraud reduction.

The partnership marks a strategic pivot for Clear, which has been expanding beyond travel and airport security. In Q3 2025 Clear reported revenue of $229.2 million, up 16% year‑over‑year, and an adjusted EBITDA margin of 30.6%, a 6.1‑percentage‑point increase from the prior year. The new digital‑health channel is expected to create a distinct revenue stream and deepen Clear’s footprint in a rapidly growing market.

Sharecare, which is in the process of being acquired by Altaris, LLC, reported a net loss of $42.0 million in Q2 2024 on revenue of $94.3 million, a 14.6% decline from the prior year. The AskMD platform, which has been in development since 2013, will benefit from Clear’s proven identity technology, potentially improving user engagement and monetization as Sharecare transitions to private ownership.

The partnership aligns with the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services’ Health Tech Ecosystem initiative, announced July 30 2025. The initiative promotes interoperability, data sharing, and user‑friendly digital health tools. Clear and Sharecare are early adopters, positioning them to influence the development of standards‑based solutions and to capture a share of the CMS‑backed market that is expected to deliver solutions by the end of Q1 2026.

In the competitive landscape, other digital‑identity providers such as HealthVerity and Veriff are active in healthcare, but Clear’s enterprise‑grade security, proven track record in high‑volume identity verification, and existing relationships with large insurers give it a distinct advantage. The partnership also signals Clear’s intent to become a foundational identity platform across both physical and digital realms.

Jeff Arnold, Sharecare’s CEO, said the collaboration “reinforces our commitment to trusted identity across the healthcare system, a critical foundation for delivering reliable medical guidance and benefits access.” David Bardan, GM of Healthcare at Clear, added that “CLEAR’s secure identity technology will simplify patient access and reduce fraud, supporting Sharecare’s mission to improve care quality and lower costs.”
