YY Group Holding Limited announced the creation of a Chief Product Officer role and appointed Eli Yu, a former AI and product leadership executive, to oversee product strategy for its on‑demand workforce and integrated facility management platforms.
Yu brings a track record of building AI‑driven solutions, having founded the HR‑automation platform Evie, led product development at SpeedX AI, and managed product portfolios at XCharge. His appointment signals the company’s intent to deepen its technology‑enabled service offering amid growing competition in the flexible labor and IFM markets.
The move follows YY Group’s recent expansion into the Netherlands, new service contracts, and strategic acquisitions that have broadened its IFM capabilities. By adding a dedicated product leader, the company aims to align market demand with its digital platforms, potentially boosting customer adoption and supporting expansion into new geographies and verticals.
YY Group’s financial backdrop shows revenue of $31.8 million for full‑year 2023, a 59% year‑over‑year increase, but a net loss of $4.8 million for fiscal 2024. The appointment is part of a broader strategy to improve profitability through product innovation and operational efficiency, as the company seeks to offset headwinds such as pricing pressure in legacy segments.
CEO Mike Fu said, “With the rapid evolution of AI and technology, having a clear, unified product strategy is more important than ever. Bringing Eli on board as our chief product officer marks a major milestone for our organization.” Yu added, “I look forward to working with the leadership team to build the next generation of products that will shape the company’s future.”
