BigCommerce announced on July 1, 2025, that Anil Kamath, a former Adobe Fellow and Vice President of Technology, has joined its Board of Directors. Kamath brings over 30 years of experience as a technology entrepreneur, advisor, and leader, with expertise in business strategy, scaling companies, and AI.
During his 13-year tenure at Adobe, Kamath was responsible for data science, machine learning, and artificial intelligence for the Adobe Experience Cloud. He also founded Efficient Frontier, a digital ad buying platform, which was later acquired by Adobe.
CEO Travis Hess stated that Kamath's extensive blend of leadership and technological expertise will strengthen BigCommerce’s core offerings and inform innovations for merchants. Kamath replaces Lawrence Bohn, who served on the board since 2011.
