CenterPoint Energy announced the completion of power restoration for all customers impacted by Winter Storm Blair in southwestern Indiana who could safely receive service. An expanded workforce of CenterPoint, contractor, and mutual aid personnel worked around the clock since early Monday morning to repair damage.
The storm caused significant damage, leading to over 61,000 customer outages due to heavy ice accumulation, falling trees and limbs, and broken poles and equipment. The company substantially completed restoration efforts 24 hours ahead of its initial projections.
CenterPoint acknowledged the tireless work of its employees, contractors, and mutual assistance crews, as well as the support from local agencies and officials. This collective effort allowed for the safe and quick restoration of service to all affected customers.
