CenterPoint Energy announced a natural gas outage in Lake Crystal, Minnesota, affecting approximately 600 customers. The company is actively working to restore service as safely and quickly as possible, with safety remaining the top priority.
Crews are collaborating with emergency responders and are in the process of turning off each customer's natural gas meter as a safety procedure. Once service is restored, technicians will conduct necessary safety checks and relights on natural gas appliances at each residence and business.
An adult over 18 must be present at the service address for technicians to perform the relight. CenterPoint will leave instructions for scheduling a return visit if an adult is not home during the initial attempt.
