CenterPoint Energy announced that approximately 99 percent of its Greater Houston area customers maintained normal electric service throughout Winter Storm Enzo, which brought extreme winter weather and an overnight hard freeze. The company has returned to normal operations and deactivated its Emergency Operations Center as of noon today. CenterPoint crews responded safely and quickly to scattered outages across its 12-county service area, restoring power to the small number of impacted customers. The company released the 1,200 mutual aid workers it had brought in to prepare for the storm. Key actions included marshaling approximately 3,000 frontline electric workers, deploying four small temporary generation units to warming centers, and conducting extensive outreach to critical care customers. These preparations helped mitigate the impacts of Enzo on customers. The content on BeyondSPX is for informational purposes only and should not be construed as financial or investment advice.
