Myers Industries has launched an award-winning leadership program for its managers across the company, reaffirming its commitment to employee development. The initiative was created in partnership with FranklinCovey, a global authority on leadership training. It is designed to cultivate and enhance essential management skills within the organization.
The program is a 12-week, cohort-based experience that immerses managers in FranklinCovey's 'Six Critical Practices for Leading a Team.' It combines online and in-person training to provide managers with tools to lead with confidence, inspire their teams, and drive innovation. Participants also gain access to FranklinCovey's extensive leadership resources and receive a certificate upon completion.
More than 100 managers successfully completed the inaugural program in August 2024, with a second cohort beginning in October 2024. For 2025, at least two additional cohorts are expected to participate, further embedding strong leadership practices across the company. Lorelei Evans, Senior Vice President of Human Resources, stated that investing in employees is essential for Myers' growth and long-term competitiveness.
